idQ Access mobile app is available for iOS devices to allow you to securely:

  • Login to your Enterprise applications using idQ Enterprise.
  • Be notified and respond to authorization requests from applications linked to your idQ Enterprise account.

Install idQ Access on an iOS Device

Before registration can be completed, an email should have been sent from your system administrator inviting you to join your organization within idQ Enterprise.  Check your email and open up the email with the subject “<Your organization> invites you to register with idQ Enterprise” email.  When you are ready to do the registration, Click Join. A web page displaying a QR code will be displayed.

idQ Access is supported for iOS v9.0+

  1. From your mobile device, go to the App Store.

    App Store

    idQ Access app is listed as an iPhone and iPad app on the App Store.
    To get idQ Access for iOS, search for "idQ Access". Select the device on which idQ Access will be installed on - either iPhone or iPad. Proceed with the steps below to install.

    1. Tap Get
    2. Tap Install
    3. Tap Open to launch the idQ Access app

Register your iOS Mobile Device

Registering your iOS device with your idQ Enterprise organization will make your iOS device a Trusted Device that will enable you to securely authenticate into your Enterprise applications and respond to delegated authorization requests from your idQ Enterprise protected applications.

  1. Check your Email and open up the “<your organization> invites you to register with idQ Enterprise” email.  Click Join.
    A Registration web page will appear displaying a registration QR code. 

  2. Open idQ Access on your device.

  3. If you are installing idQ Access for the first time, you will be prompted for your permission to send push notifications to your device. Tap OK.

    If you tap Don't Allow, you will not receive push notifications from idQ Enterprise. Push notifications are used to notify you of idQ Enterprise authorization requests. You can re-enable push notifications for receiving delegated authorization requests by accessing the system settings on your device. 

  4. The "Welcome" screen will open, to register with idQ Enterprise, click Get Started



  5. On your device, the Scan idQ QR Code screen will appear.  Scan the registration QR code that appeared on the registration web page.

  6. A user supplied factor is required when using the idQ Access app. Depending on your model of iPhone, select your preferred method of either a PIN, or the device unlock method that is available to you.  If you select the PIN as the user supplied factor, you will be asked to setup the PIN.  If you select the device unlock method, you will be prompted for a backup PIN. 

  7. Registration Successful. Tap Done.

  8. If this is the first time you are installing idQ Access, the app will prompt you for your permission to access the Camera. Press OK.

    If you tap Don't Allow, you will not be able to use idQ Access to register with your organization with idQ Enterprise, or log into your enterprise applications by scanning QR codes. If you try to open the scanner after selecting Don't Allow, idQ Access will display a popup stating that this feature is disabled. You can re-enable the camera for scanning in the system settings on your device.


  9. idQ Access will subscribe to push notifications automatically and display the main screen.

 Deregister your iOS Device from your organization within idQ Enterprise - using idQ Access

These instructions assume that

  • You have an account with idQ Enterprise
  • The idQ Access app is installed on your device
  • The device you are deregistering is registered with idQ Enterprise

If you deregister your device, you will no longer be able to securely authenticate to log into your Enterprise applications and respond to delegated authorization requests from your idQ-protected accounts using this device.

Deregistering your device will NOT uninstall idQ Access.
  1. Open the idQ Access app on your iOS device.

  2. Tap the Gear icon



  3. The Settings screen will open. Tap Deregister.



  4. Read the confirmation popup to ensure that you really want to deregister your device. If you still want to deregister your device, tap Deregister.

  5. Enter your user supplied factor to confirm the deregistration.  Your device will be deregistered from idQ Enterprise and will no longer able to be used with idQ Enterprise.  Tap OK.



  6. You can re-register your device by following Register your iOS Mobile Device.

Login using idQ Access for iOS

To login to any environment which is integrated with idQ Enterprise, click on a button or link that will bring up the idQ QR code.  When an idQ QR code is displayed, scan the QR Code using idQ Access.  This triggers idQ Enterprise to authenticate your identity. Once authenticated, the application can authorize access and log you into your account.

These instructions assume that

  • You have an account with idQ Enterprise
  • The idQ Access app is installed on your device
  • Your device is registered with idQ Enterprise
  • The application you are logging into is registered with idQ Enterprise.

  • You have an account on the application you are signing into and if necessary, that account has been linked to your idQ Account

  1. Click the link from your application that has been configured to use idQ Enterprise as the log in mechanism. An idQ Authentication QR code will be displayed on the web browser.  In this example the user is using idQ Access to log into their idQ Enterprise Portal.


  2. Open the idQ Access app on your iOS device.

  3. Tap Scan.

  4. The idQ Access QR scanner will open. Scan the idQ Authentication QR code that is displayed on the web browser.

  5. A Please Identify yourself screen will appear.  Enter your user supplied factor for idQ Access.

  6. idQ Access will automatically authenticate your identity. An check mark icon will appear, indicating a successful authentication result with the idQ Enterprise server.  If authentication with the application is successful, you will be logged into application. 

  7. idQ Access will return to its main screen.

Login with idQ Access to a Mobile Application on your iOS Device

To login to any application on your mobile device which is integrated with idQ Enterprise, click on a button or link that will bring up the idQ Tap button. Tapping the Tap to Complete Authentication image will launch idQ Access. Unlocking idQ Access with your user supplied factor triggers idQ Access to authenticate your identity. Once authenticated, the mobile application can authorize access and log you into your application.

These instructions assume that

  • You have an account with idQ Enterprise
  • The idQ Access app is installed on your device
  • Your device is registered with idQ Enterprise
  • The application you are logging into is registered with idQ Enterprise.

  • You have an account on the application you are signing into and if necessary, that account has been linked to your idQ Account

  1. Click the link from your application that has been configured to use idQ Enterprise as the log in mechanism. An idQ Authentication Screen will open with an idQ image.


  2. Tap the Login with idQ Access icon. An 'Open in "idQ Access"?' message will appear.  Select Open.  idQ Access will launch. When the Please Identify yourself window appears, unlock idQ Access with your user supplied factor.

  3. idQ Access will automatically complete the authentication process and display the result.


  4. Tap the top left corner button to return to the application you just logged in with idQ Enterprise.  The idQ Authentication Screen will redirect to your online application. You are now logged in and can access your application.

Respond to an idQ Delegated Authorization Request on your iOS Device

When a request is made from within one of your idQ Enterprise protected applications to authorize access to information or to perform account activity, an idQ Push Notification is received on your device.  Respond to the idQ Push Notification using idQ Access.

These instructions assume that

  • You have an account with idQ Enterprise.
  • The idQ Access app is installed on your device.
  • Your device is registered with idQ Enterprise.
  • Push notifications are enabled on your device.

  • The application sending authorization requests is linked to your idQ Enterprise Account.
  1. Tap the idQ Enterprise push notification message to open your idQ Access app or directly open the idQ Access app.



  2. Tap View Authorization Request.

  3. Enter your user supplied factor to access idQ Access.

  4. The Authorization Request details are displayed. You can approve or deny the request by tapping the appropriate button.  Each application will send a customized request with information that is specific to the application and the activity that requires authorization.


  5. Your response will be sent to the idQ Enterprise server for authentication. Once authenticated, the application which sent the authorization request will be notified of your response and will be handled. A popup displaying information about the successful transmission of your authorization response will be displayed. Tap OK.



  6. idQ Access will return to the main screen.

Respond to a Pending Authorization Request on your iOS Device


The idQ Enterprise server stores a list of pending requests from your applications which utilize idQ Enterprise authorizations. Use idQ Access to access and respond to any pending authorization requests.

These instructions assume that

  • You have an account with idQ Enterprise.
  • The idQ Access app is installed on your device.
  • Your device is registered with idQ Enterprise.
  • Push notifications are enabled on your device.

  • The application sending authorization requests is linked to your idQ Enterprise Account.


  1. Open idQ Access.  Within idQ Access, tap the message icon to get a list of any authorization requests.


  2. Enter your user supplied factor to access idQ Access. 

  3. If there are no requests, no further action is required.


  4. If there are pending requests, select one.
  5. View the Authorization Request details and approve or deny the request by selecting the appropriate button at the bottom of the screen.  Each application will send a customized request with information that is specific to the application and the activity that requires authorization.


  6. Your response will be sent to the idQ Enterprise server for authentication. Once authenticated, your application will be notified of your response and your authorization request will be handled.

  7. If a new notification arrives, a Refresh button will appear at the bottom of the Authorization Request screen. You can refresh the list of requests by selecting it.
